Nikolaos Vasilakis

Nikos Vasilakis is a digital transformation executive with extensive experience at the intersection of technology, public policy, and eHealth. He currently serves as Advisor to the Special Secretary for AI & Data Governance at the Ministry of Digital Governance. Previously, he was Head of Digital Innovation & Transformation and Strategic Planning at GRNET, contributing as product owner of gov.gr and core author of the National Digital Strategy. His background includes collaborations with IDIKA, EKDDA, private IT firms and working groups of diaNEOsis and GFOSS, alongside 4 years asco-founder and Head of Business Development at TechApps Healthier. He has vast experience in managing EU digital innovation and governance initiatives (GR digiGOV-innoHUB, Pharos AI Factory health vertical, GovTech4All, INVEST) and in multiple eHealth projects (NCPeH, GR-HDAB, EHR studies, etc). He is a PhD candidate at AUEB and holds a BSc in Management Science & Technology (AUEB) and an MPhil from theUniversity of Cambridge.
