
Nikos Raftopoulos
IT Director, IPTO (ADMIE)
Nikos Raftopoulos joined ADMIE (IPTO) in September 2018 as Director of Information Technology & Telecommunications, managing five branches: Cybersecurity, Information Systems, IT Infrastructure & Help Desk, IT Project Management, and Telecommunications & Data Networks. In 2019, he also assumed the role of CISO, implementing a Cybersecurity Strategy based on Zero Trust architecture and establishing IPTO’s Security Operations Center (SOC) for both IT and OT systems. The IT department supports corporate information systems (SAP ERP, Asset Management, HRMS) and energy market systems (Target Model, Cross-Border Transactions Management, Energy Metering Systems). Furthermore, he spearheaded the creation of an innovative Data Analytics Ecosystem, with a strong focus on Artificial Intelligence and advanced Cybersecurity technologies aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and the protection of critical infrastructures.
Before joining IPTO, Mr. Raftopoulos worked for 12 years at the OTE Group, holding senior positions in the Information Systems and Strategy & Transformation Divisions. He played a key role in OTE’s Digital Transformation, particularly in the design of major telecommunications projects such as the expansion of the optical fiber network (FTTC, FTTH). As Business Development Manager, he contributed to OTE’s expansion into new markets such as e-insurance and e-payments.
Nikos Raftopoulos holds a BEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne (UK), an MSc in Mobile and Satellite Communications from the University of Surrey (UK), and an MBA.
