Nikos Tzanakos

Member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee, International Children’s Games Organization (ICG)

 

Nikos Tzanakos, originally from Mani. He has lived in Patras since 1975. He holds Postgraduate degrees: Sports Management, Adult Education, Distance Education. He is a graduate of the School of Humanities (Greek Culture), of the National University of Athens. He has also studied Mathematics at the University of Patras, as well as Administration and Telecommunications at the Faculty of OTE. Director at COSMOTE (2001-2014).

Municipal Councilor at the Municipality of Patras, (12 years President of the Municipal Council and Deputy Mayor). (1995-2023) In 2014 and 2019 he was a candidate for Mayor of Patras. Representative in the General Assembly and member of the Sports and Culture Committee of KEDE (2014-2023).

Member of the Board of Directors of OLPA S.A. (2007-2011) Member of the Board of Directors and EU, of the I.C.G., World Athletics Organization, in Children’s Sports The organization, which is voluntary, is under the auspices of the I.O.E. (62 annual events, since 1968 – 600 Municipalities, from 110 countries of the world, 50,000 athletes).

Member of the Society of Writers of Western Greece.

Member of the Hellenic Scientific Society of Sports and Recreation Management.

Member of the Society of Achaean Studies. He is engaged in historical research and has written and published 9 books. Based on which 6 historical documentaries have been filmed
