Olga Balaoura Chief Executive Officer of the 1st Health Region of Greece.
She has also served the healthcare system as Saint Savvas’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and President of the Board for five years. She is an experienced Healthcare Specialist and her background concerns hospital and health care industry transformation. Olga is also designated by the Minister of Health as the country’s representative for Comprehensive Cancer Centers in supranational or international organizations and collective bodies.
She has more than 15 years of experience in the public health care sector. In the past (2010-2014) she was CEO and President of the Board at Konstantopouleio General Hospital. She has been doing systematic consulting since 2014 at the subject which concerns National Health Care System Transformation.
She worked as an expert consultant of the World Health Organization and Giz (Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH) concerning the Reform and Support Programme for the National Health System of Greece.
Olga is a PhD candidate at Democritus University of Thrace and she has 2 Masters Degrees. The first master concerns National and European Administration from Panteion University and the second one concerns Health Economics, Policy and Management from London School of Economics with a Scholarship from the Onassis Foundation.
