Panagiotis (Notis) Vagiakakos
Legal Representative and Managing Director, HDI Global SE, Hellas
With a long experience and activity in the Greek insurance market, Notis Vagiakakos started his career in 1978 in “Commercial Insurance” and then took over senior positions as Technical Director of Bain Clarkson / Bain Hogg, Zurich Insurance and Generali Hellas. Since 2004 he has been the Head (Legal Representative and Managing Director) of the Greek branch of HDI Global SE, for the development and the management of the company’s portfolio in Greece, the Balkan countries (Romania, Bulgaria, Northern Macedonia, Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia) and the SE Mediterranean countries (Turkey, Cyprus, Israel, Malta). He is a member of the Board of the Association of Insurance Companies of Greece (EAEE) and Chairman of the Committee for Legal & Tax Issues. He has been, for several years, member of the Board of the Hellenic Institute of Insurance Studies (EIAS) and he is a member of the Board of the Association of Representatives and Executives of Insurance Companies (SESAE). He has studied Business Administration, specializing in marketing management. Also, he followed insurance studies as a member of the “Alois Alzheimer” scholarship program of Munich Re. He has also completed a series of postgraduate programs in Strategy and Management from the universities “ESMT” Berlin & “WU – Wien Universitat -WU” as a member of the Talanx Executive Academy.
