
Renata Valsami
Biologist, Documentation & Health Policy Manager at the Greek Patients’ Association
Renata Valsami is a Biologist with more than 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical sector, specializing in Oncology, Hematology, and Rare Diseases. She currently serves as Documentation & Health Policy Manager at the Greek Patients’ Association, where she leads initiatives that promote meaningful patient involvement in healthcare decision-making and equitable access to innovation.
She also coordinates three European Horizon projects involving the Association, ensuring that the patient perspective is integrated into the design, implementation, and communication at a European level.
She has extensive knowledge of the healthcare system, having served as a member of the Drug Price Negotiation Committee at EOPYY and the Greek Ministry of Health and Special Advisor at IFET. Previously, she worked as a health policy consultant, focusing on market access and reimbursement strategies for medicines. She has received executive training from leading institutions, including the Athens University of Economics and Business, INSEAD, and London Business School.
