Sotiris G. Papaspyropoulos, MD, MSc

Medical doctor (Medical School of Athens), specialized in Psychiatry and also graduated in Sociology, University of Strasbourg, with a postgraduate degree from the National School of Public Health.
In 1990, with a group of doctors and health professionals, he founded the Greek Section of Médecins Sans Frontières, of which he was the first President (1990–1996) and Honorary President (1996–2000). He served for about 3 years in acute or chronic crisis missions in Honduras / El Salvador and in Zambia, Malawi, Armenia, Georgia, Albania, Yugoslavia as well as in Iran (Head of Missions, 1996-97).
In the Private Sector initially member of the BoD of “SOS Doctors SA” working as psychiatrist and then Medical Director of the Pharmaceutical Company “Smithkline Beecham”. Since 2000, co-founder & Managing Director of “ACCURATE Health Auditing and Consulting SA”.
Finally, General Manager of the WHO Hellenic Healthy Cities Network (2006-2019), and then Coordinator of Healthy Cities Programs in Attica Region.
