Spiros Apostolopoulos is a graduate of the University of Athens, Department of Political Science and Public Administration, and has a Master’s Degree in Administration and Economics of Health Services, from the National School of Public Health.

He is Hospital Manager of the General University Hospital “ATTIKON” since January 2020. He has been Hospital Manager of the General Hospital of Trikala and the G.U.H. “ATTIKON” (2004-2008), member of the Board of the General Hospital of Larissa and Director of Health-Welfare of the Region of Thessaly as well as General Manager of the Athens Medical Center, Maroussi Clinic.

He is a Visiting Professor of the former National School of Public Health (ESDY) and the Department of Public Health Policies (as successor of the National School of Public Health) of UNIWA.

He has been Research Associate of the Department of Health Economics of National School of Public Health (1997 -2012) and has participated as an expert in Health Policy and Management and Economics of health services in numerous conferences, forums and workshops.

He is General Secretary of the Hellenic Society for the Administration of Health Services (EEDYY) and a member of the Hellenic Scientific Society for Health Policy and Economics.
