Stamatis Vardaros

Stamatis Vardaros is a political scientist, specializing in social policy. He has served as Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of Health, responsible for Primary Health Care, Addiction Treatment and co-financed programs of the Ministry of Health. He was a pioneer of the reform in the PHC with the formation and development of TOMY. Today he is the scientific coordinator of the Health Department of the SYRIZA Parliamentary Group and a scientific associated of the Institute of Small Enterprises’ Institute of the General Confederation of Professionals, Craftsmen, Merchants of Greece (IME GSEVEE). He has been a member of the Board of Directors of EOPYY for five years, as well as a scientific associate in the Hellenic Parliament and in the Economic and Social Committee of Greece (OKE), while he has worked for a number of years in the NGO PRAKSIS and KETHEA. He has participated in projects of the WHO and the EU
