Vasiliki Mammona
Head of the Department of International Monitoring for Occupational Insurance, Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs
Vasiliki Mammona is a graduate of Department of Statistics and Insurance Science of the University of Piraeus and holds an M.Sc. degree in “Statistics and Operational Research” from Essex University, United Kingdom.
She worked in the private sector from 1997 to 2003, primarily as a statistical analyst in chemical industry and then as an administrative staff in private insurance.
She has been working at the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs since 2003, serving social security from various positions and representing Greece in committees and working groups of the European Commission on the coordination of social security systems.
Since 2017 is the Head of the Department of International Monitoring for Occupational Insurance.
She is the permanent representative of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs as the Competent Authority for IORPs, in the Board of Supervisors of EIOPA and is a member of EIOPA´s Expert Network (ENW7) which deals with issues related to the activities and the supervision of Institutions for Occupational Retirement Provision (IORPs).
