Zefi Nikolaou

Zefi Nikolaou is a senior expert and strategic advisor in Ethics, Compliance, and ESG, with extensive experience in the banking and financial services sector. She leads major Ethics & Compliance and ESG initiatives for large private companies and provides high-level advisory support as a Communications Strategist. She is Chair of the Board of the Association of Compliance Officers in Greece (ASCO Greece).
She is also an External Lecturer at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (MSc in Internal Audit, Risk Management & Compliance), teaching regulatory compliance, applied governance, and ESG/sustainability topics. Her career includes senior management roles at the National Mortgage Bank of Greece and the National Bank of Greece, where she gained deep expertise in financial, credit, and compliance matters, including financial crime prevention.
Zefi holds degrees in Journalism, European Civilization, and Corporate Communication. She is a Certified Fraud Examiner, with additional certifications in AML, Compliance, and Customer Service Management. She is a recognized speaker and expert educator on corporate governance, ESG strategy, integrity, and business ethics.
