Ioannis Bligiannis
Lead System Engineer - Space & Defense Program, EFA GROUP
Ioannis Bligiannis is a systems engineer with over ten years of international experience across the space, telecommunications, and defense sectors. His expertise spans satellite communications, navigation and positioning (PNT/Galileo), RF/mmWave 5G systems, mission architecture and requirements engineering.
For more than six years, he supported the European Space Agency and Airbus Defense and Space on the Galileo Second Generation programme at ESA/ESTEC, contributing to system architecture, systems and requirements engineering, authentication service activities, trade-off analyses, and Engineering Board activities in cooperation with major European industrial stakeholders.
He currently serves as Lead System Engineer in the Space & Defense Program of EFA GROUP, where he supports mission architecture, technology assessment, and the maturation of credible sovereign space-enabled capabilities for defense and security. He holds a Diploma in Computer Engineering from the University of Patras, an MSc in Electrical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology, and an Executive Master in Space Business Management from Luiss Business School.
