EU Policy Analyst

Maria Mavridaki is an international relations expert with over 19 years of experience, working in the EU institutions, Greek government offices and international organizations. Her core competencies include digital governance, cybersecurity, space policy, diplomacy, and team management. She excels in policy strategy, international public and EU law, and strategic stakeholder communication. She has worked in the European Commission’s DG Defence and Space, being a Policy officer for EU Space law and standardisation. Previously, she served as Director for International Affairs at Greek Ministry for Foreign Affairs, coordinating stakeholder engagement and monitoring diplomatic deliverables, and as an advisor at the Greek Ministry of Digital Governance, focusing on digital transition, cybersecurity, and space connectivity. Her earlier roles include legal and policy officer’s positions at the European Commission, the Council of the EU, the European Parliament, and the Greek Ministry for foreign affairs, with responsibilities such as legislative negotiations, international cooperation, and policy drafting.

Maria holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Public Administration from the National University of Athens, a Master’s in International Politics from ULB University of Brussels, a D.E.S. in International Public Law from ULB University of Brussels, and a Certificate of Higher Education in Law from the University of London. She is proficient in English, French, and Spanish.
