Panagiota Lagou holds a PhD in Information Security from the University of Piraeus (Greece), an MSc in Information Security from Royal Holloway University of London (UK), and a Degree in Economics from the Athens University of Economics and Business (Greece).
Panagiota has been awarded with the following certifications: ISO27001 Lead Auditor, CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), CDPSE (Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer) and CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional).
She has more than 15 years of experience in Information Security, Compliance, specializing in ISO27001, GDPR. She undertakes activities such as Development of Policies and Procedures, Risk Assessments, Business Impact Assessments, Incidents Management, Investigations, Awareness and Training, Audits for various sectors like telecommunication, banking, media, shipping etc.
Furthermore, she has written many articles and papers relating to information security as result of research performed.
