Panagiotis Papantoniou

Panagiotis Papantoniou is Assistant Professor at the Department of Surveying and Geoinformatics Engineering of the University of West Attica and President of the Hellenic Institute of Transportation Engineers. He has extensive knowledge of the dynamics of transport, through his active participation for more than 12 years, as an engineer, researcher, transport consultant, representative of scientific prganisations and advisor in all fields of transportation planning and infrastructure. Within his scientific career he has participated in 21 research projects, he has published 23 papers in scientific journals and 82 conference papers with full paper review. His areas of expertise include road safety, road design, sustainable urban mobility and intelligent transportation systems.
