Dr. Papanagiotou serves as an Associate Professor of Radiology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and as a Professor of Neuroradiology at the Medical School of Saarland University, Germany. Since 2012, he has played an instrumental role as the Director of the Department for Diagnostic and Interventional Neuroradiology at Bremen-Mitte/Bremen-Ost Hospitals in Germany.
