"The Greek Insurance Market: the Agenda for 2030"
The Greek insurance market can boast that from the start of this decade onwards it has managed year on year to persuade the State to “listen to what it has to say”. At the same time, advocacy efforts continue as there is still much to be done for the sector and for private insurance. The most important things here are increasing state involvement and procuring decisions that will give private insurance a more active role to play, harnessing it as a complementary resource in key sectors.
We can expect significant developments in the run up to 2030 and the prospects for professionals and private insurance are also great in a sector with very high value for both the economy and society. According to the market itself, among other things, the 20 or so mandatory insurance policies which apply in other EU countries that have been legislated for at European level also need to apply in Greece.
The common objective of all by at least 2030 is for government policy for the insurance industry not only to respond to consumer needs but also to promote social prosperity, economic stability and justice. In light of this, this year’s Insurance Conference, featuring insights from distinguished speakers, executives and businesses from the sector, will explore all the changes already happening in the Private Insurance sector.
The 17th Insurance Conference #inco24 was took place on 27 June 2024 organized by ethosEVENTS in cooperation with the financial and business portal banks.com.gr and the insurance magazine Insurance World as well as the insuranceworld.gr portal. Delegates could either attend the conference in person at the Divani Caravel or online through LiveOn Expo Complex, the innovative 3D exhibition and conference center of LiveOn, the Digital Business Communication and Events platform.
